Zoning for a property

Every part of South Australia is zoned to guide the types of development that are and aren’t appropriate.

The zoning that applies to your property depends on where it is located.

Which zoning applies

Zoning is set out by the Planning and Design Code under the Planning, Development and Infrastructure Act 2016.

The Code replaces all council Development Plans previously used under the Development Act 1993.
